Norse Atlantic Airways will add Las Vegas to its London Gatwick network this September, a roll of the dice for next winter as it focuses on turning a profit. Norse's U.S. network will look a lot different this summer than it did last: Gone at Boston, Fort Lauderdale, San Francisco, and Washington Dulles. Capacity to its four remaining gateways — Los Angeles, Miami (replaced Fort Lauderdale in September 2023), New York JFK, and Orlando — is up compared to last year, according to Cirium Diio. Will the capacity shift, plus addition of winter-favorable destinations like Las Vegas, boost Norse? We shall see. #airlines https://lnkd.in/e2ZYrh9J

✈️ Today marks National Aviation Day, a time to honor the achievements of the aviation industry and the pioneers who made flight possible. Established in 1939 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, this day coincides with the birthday of Orville Wright, who, alongside his brother Wilbur, changed the world with their first powered flight in 1903. Aviation has come a long way since then, revolutionizing global travel, trade, and communication. It’s not just about the technology; it’s about connecting people, cultures, and ideas across continents. How can we celebrate National Aviation Day? • Explore the history of aviation through books, documentaries, or a visit to an aviation museum. • Reflect on the impact of aviation in your life, whether it’s through travel, business, or innovation. • Engage with your network by sharing a story or experience related to aviation. Let’s take a moment to appreciate the advancements in aviation that make our world more connected! #NationalAviationDay #Aviation #Innovation #History #OrvilleWright #GlobalConnectivity #ARGI

#ISTATAsia indeed concluded with a tone of optimism, with Steven Townend, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director at BOC Aviation, noting that the industry remained robust despite the turmoil of the past few years. “It’s just been this series of, in theory, black swan events, where we’re meant to have one every 10 years, and we've come out of it with almost all airlines, still there, still functioning. I think we have to step back for a moment, what's remarkable is that the airline industry is still there and in as good a shape as it is.” #aviation #aircraftleasing #perspectives #marketoutlook #airlineindustry
