Be Careful Who You Reject! 😬 One thing I always advise companies is to keep an open mind regarding required experience & candidate backgrounds when reviewing the applications. Think about it... Instead of focusing solely on traditional qualifications and perfect background, try to see the potential in diverse experiences. For example: 🔧 Looking for a Sales Engineer? Consider for instance, project managers. They interact with customers regularly and often possess the skills and potential to excel in sales. 📩 Hiring for a Content Marketing Role? Look at candidates with a background in journalism. Their storytelling ability and content creation skills can be a huge asset. 📈 Searching for a Business Development Manager? You could consider for instance, candidates with a background in consulting. Their strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to build relationships can drive growth and identify new opportunities. By broadening your perspective, you might discover hidden gems who can bring fresh ideas and valuable skills to your team. Besides this, for majority roles, skills can be trained 😊 It is the right attitude you should be looking for.
