Today, I am honored to be celebrating my 16-Year Work Anniversary with my company! That is a lifetime to some. It feels amazing. The people who I have met, and the things that I have learned on this journey have shaped my life in so many ways. Here are some of the lessons that I have learned over the years... * Work/life balance is crucial. It is important not to lose sight of what you are working for. Take the vacation.  Go to the little-league game. Live a good life.  It is short and you only get ONE. So, work to live, not the other way around.   * Be kind and respectful and greet everyone. Every person in every position. * Give your respect freely but give your trust wisely.  Guard your heart and your personal life. Be discreet. Know the difference between being friends and being friendly. Check your emotions.  Don’t react quickly. Observe silently. Avoid office politics and gossip. * Show up. Be consistent and take action. * Be sincere, intentional and authentic. This goes for both your business and your personal life. * Don’t be afraid to ask people to share their wisdom and experience with you. Share your knowledge with others. * Know the difference between healthy competition and unhealthy “comparisonitis”. * Use the right tools, organize everything, and keep good notes. * Clear is Kind. Keep your communications clear, concise and easy to understand. * Confidence in your abilities and knowing your value is important to your success. Believe in yourself and in your work.

3 years in a -work anniversary has never felt so good! Happy third work anniversary to me! A work anniversary has never meant that much to me. But 3 years since founding House of Kitch, doing what I believe in and making it work, feels very special. Thanks to all of you who have believed in me, trusted me, shared with me, and been part of making it real Parexel PAREXEL International (India) Private Ltd It's hard to believe that 3 years have gone by already! Three beautiful and fulfilling years during which I have expanded my horizons both professionally and personally. Three years of gratitude for being part of this amazing company! Top 3 learnings: 1. You are the author of your own destiny:- I have been stretched more than ever before, and the uncertainty and ambiguity can be a major challenge. I have found that structuring my business around my purpose and staying true to that helps me get through the ambiguity. Some days it feels like this, but knowing why I am doing what I am doing is my compass, and it helps to bring others with me. 2.Doing what you believe in is exhilarating and exhausting at the same time:- They say that doing what you believe in doesn’t feel like work – and it doesn’t. But it can be really intense as everything matters so much more. The work that we do takes me on such intense journeys, and the connections are really strong. There is something about purpose that transcends effort. The challenge is there is no clocking on and clocking off, it’s a constant journey. The important thing is having people that I value on the journey with me. 3.Healthy body + healthy mind = healthy ideas:- You have to keep balance, mentally and physically – for me these two things are intertwined. When you are working continuously , it can be really hard to feel ok about breaking away from your desk to get some exercise or go outside for a walk. If you want to set your mind free, you really have to set yourself free first. Creativity comes from many different places – you usually have to leave your desk to find it. And then there are the times when you just need to switch off, and that takes its own discipline – one that I am still working on. Greatful! Dr. Shivani Bhola

As I am approaching what would have been my 10-year work anniversary with my former employer in the next couple of days, it's a poignant moment to reflect on the significant chapter of my career that I shared with the company. While circumstances may have led me on a different path since then, the memories, experiences, and lessons learned during my tenure hold a special place in my professional journey. 😇 Thinking back on my time with my former employer, I recall a multitude of memories and milestones that defined my career during those past years. My dedication and commitment to my role helped, one way or the other, drive the company forward and contribute to its success. Here’s what she had to say about her big day: 1- Why did you want to work for/be a part of the Economic Alliance? At first, I did not realize I wanted to, as I started as a temporary employee. However, as I got to know the team and how hard we work to grow a stronger business community, I knew I wanted to stay. 2- What has been the most rewarding part of being on this team? The most rewarding part about being on this team is knowing that what I do every day does matter and is part of the bigger picture. 3- How are you planning on celebrating your anniversary? What excites you about the upcoming year? Hmm… I don’t know how I will celebrate; I haven’t really thought about it until now. Market After Dark is this weekend, and this will be my first time participating in it. I am thrilled to be involved with that! My goal for next year is to grow even more professionally by trying new opportunities and meeting new people. 4- What is your favorite Economic Alliance brand color and why? My favorite EA brand color is teal because it is a great accent color- I even have it in my kitchen.

Yesterday was my 20 year work anniversary. It’s been an adventure: 9 roles, many miles and countries, countless projects, awesome freebies, amazing connections and incredible experiences but what I value most is how ‘work’ is teaching me: 1. How to be my authentic self. 2. How to “get through the day” in the best way possible. ***What about you?*** Go out with your colleagues. You’ll have more fun at work if you have fun with them out of work 🍸 Have the most brilliant fun with the new people you meet every day-you’ll make their day and they yours. Even the “lipstick” clients 😂 Make mistakes/say sorry. It’ll help you. Somethings won’t matter next week. Or tomorrow. Or even in the next 10 minutes. Don’t worry about everything! 🦆 Feel empathic to them, not sad for you. They suffer with their insecurity. Work wants you but your family needs you-put them first sometimes. Be friendly with EVERYONE! It makes everyone happier! Be vulnerable 💔 #ELCFamily
