Clinical supervisors, for your next supervision session, repeat after me: “Is there anything I can do differently to support you better?” “Do you have any questions for me?” “Is there anything I missed today?” “Is there anything I didn’t ask you that you’d like to share?” “How do you feel about the current way we’re structuring supervision? Are you getting what you need?” “Is there anything getting in the way of providing me with feedback we can address together?” Your supervisees deserve so much, but you already knew that! #clinicalsupervision #mentalhealth #mentalhealtheducation

🌟 Importance of Professionals’ visits to treatment centers. 🌟 As an interventionist dedicated to guiding individuals towards recovery, I've come to appreciate firsthand the invaluable benefits of taking the time to participate in professional visits. Here’s why I believe it's crucial: 1️⃣ Understanding Treatment Modalities: Each facility implements unique therapeutic approaches. By visiting, interventionists gain insights into diverse methodologies, equipping us to tailor interventions effectively. 2️⃣ Building Collaborative Networks: Face-to-face interactions foster strong relationships with treatment teams. This collaboration enhances our ability to coordinate care seamlessly, ensuring holistic support for clients. 3️⃣ Real-Time Assessment: Observing daily operations provides a nuanced understanding of a center’s strengths and areas for improvement. This insight empowers interventionists to make informed referrals based on current capabilities. 4️⃣ Enhancing Client Outcomes: Comprehensive knowledge allows us to match clients with facilities that align with their needs and preferences. This personalized approach significantly boosts the likelihood of successful treatment outcomes. Visiting treatment centers isn’t merely a professional duty—it’s a commitment to elevating the standard of care we provide. Together, we can strengthen our impact and empower individuals on their journey to recovery. #Intervention #AddictionRecovery #TreatmentCenters #Collaboration #ClientCare #PersonalizedTreatment #SupportNetworks

Who participates in public and #patientengagement processes, and in what capacity they participate, matters. The strategies employed to recruit participants shape the outcomes and legitimacy of engagement processes. Joanna Massie and Katherine Boothe explore these issues through a case study of workshop recruitment. The first step to improved engagement, whether for a researcher or for a practitioner, is understanding what the potential pitfalls are; addressing them requires reflexivity, honesty and a commitment to balance trade-offs and adapt to participants' needs. Why is clinical #supervision so important for therapists? 👥 Clinical supervision fosters the growth and development of therapists, supports their overall wellbeing, and instils confidence within their ability to reach their full potential. The flow on effect of these benefits pushes the boundaries of clinical excellence and guarantees better outcomes for participants. Essential to the success of clinical supervision is a positive #supervisory #relationship; one whereby both parties are guided by each other in how to best meet the needs and expectations of the supervisee. Within its supervisory framework, KEO Care values the establishment of genuine #connection between supervisors and supervisees, and views the time dedicated to supervision as sacred. We cultivate genuine connections within supervision by prioritising mutual trust, respect and honesty within the relationship. We nurture the space of supervision by establishing an environment where mistakes are normalised as lessons to be learnt, and therapists can feel psychologically #safe in being vulnerable. KEO Care's supervisory framework is informed by the most recent clinical research available, while professional development opportunities are tailored to each therapist's interests and level of expertise to ensure they are working within their scope of practice. 💬 💡 I would love to hear your thoughts on what you feel contributes to a positive supervisory relationship and effective supervision. Uncontrollable Uncertainty? Ever had an anxious patient suffering instability beyond control? As a new therapist, a powerful skill to cultivate is guiding patients to transform the worrying UNKNOWN of the external world by recognizing the KNOWN aspects of themselves. Work with the patient to find the balance between internal and external locus of control. For example, feeling disconnected at work—an external experience often beyond a patient's control—can spill over into feeling disconnected with oneself. In supervision, a clinical supervisor plays a crucial role in empowering a supervisee-therapist, to support a patient change their narrative by intentionally reconnecting internally with their character strengths, virtues, and values. This approach helps patients stop having a contentious relationship with their circumstances. It reduces a sense of helplessness, aids in identity reformation, and empowers patients to be active participants in their hopes, worthiness, and self-improvement. 🖤 🖤 Elevate your therapeutic skills. Create meaningful transformation with those you serve. Connect with an experienced supervisor dedicated to your professional development. Your journey to becoming an effective therapist starts with clinical supervision! BNCounseling.com empower@bncounseling.com Text/Call: 201-668-1001

Hate and jealousy in healthcare can lead to: 1. **Poor Communication**: Negative emotions hinder collaboration, leading to miscommunication and errors. 2. **Low Morale**: A toxic environment reduces motivation, affecting engagement in quality improvement. 3. **Conflict**: Interpersonal issues distract from patient care and safety initiatives. 4. **Patient Interactions**: Hostility can negatively impact patient experiences and care quality. 5. **Resistance to Change**: Jealousy may cause staff to resist necessary improvements. 6. **Underreporting Errors**: Fear of judgment can prevent staff from reporting safety issues, hindering learning and improvement. Addressing these emotions is crucial for enhancing quality and safety in healthcare settings.
