How to get the best out of your recruitment partner…. In time gone by I’ve joked with clients…. why am I the last to know about your most important project?? The joke often follows a request that started with a bit of a last minute call to resource labour or management staff for a project under pressure. 📞💪 Couple of learning points to consider: 1. Last minute calls can sometimes lead to a lack of quality labour or placement. Good people don’t grow on trees and aren’t sat at home on their sofa for long if at all. 👷🌲 2. If you can engage with your recruitment partner earlier then do so. It gives you a much greater chance of securing the quality you need.👌 I do understand that last minute calls are sometimes necessary and unavoidable. 😬 However as recruiters please don’t just say yes to secure a job or supply without any afterthought on delivering what has been requested. I fell into this trap in my early days and in my experience it more often than not will bite you in the arse! Sometimes an honest No if you know you are unable to deliver is the best thing you can say. How you ask…?
