Coming out of the pandemic, one positive I appreciate is the increase in continued opportunities for (& our comfort levels with) virtually connecting. #Highschoolstudents & #parentsofteens: All #NACAC college fairs are free to attend. Click the Attendee registration link. Scroll down the page, read about #NACAC fairs. When you get to the #collegefair dates at the bottom, you’re looking at In-Person fair dates, many of which are on weekday evenings, making them challenging to attend if you don’t live nearby. Don’t miss the virtual fair dates! No travel required (or the time & expense associated with travel) to explore and connect with colleges across the country. Click on the Virtual tab. Virtual fairs are all on weekend days. Learn about colleges you haven’t read about in the news or heard about from others. Enjoy! #collegeadmissions #collegeplanning
Reminder: Attendees and institutions can still register for the remaining Spring 2024 National College Fairs, coming to cities across the country through May. Attendee registration: nacacattend.org/fairs Exhibitor registration: nacacnet.org/exhibit #collegefairs #NACAC #collegefair

What better way to celebrate the achievements of our #apprentices than at their #graduation? In November 2023 we hosted a graduation ceremony for our apprentices. This is something we do twice a year. For many apprentices, this is their first experience of a graduation ceremony. Wearing the cap and gown and collecting their scroll in front of family, friends and peers is a treasured moment in their lives and careers. Nothing gives us more joy than seeing our apprentices succeed. https://lnkd.in/eQcbY8S7 #naw2024 #skillsforlife #leadershipandmanagement

Yesterday, I had the privilege of discussing the next steps with recent graduates as they prepare to embark on new adventures after university. Their enthusiasm was truly inspiring! Having graduated myself just last year, I recall the mix of excitement and uncertainty that comes with this transition. Here are some tips for new graduates: ✨ Explore Opportunities: Keep an open mind to industries and roles to discover your interests. ✨ Network Wisely: Build connections with alumni and professionals on platforms like LinkedIn and through events. ✨ Continuous Learning: Embrace growth opportunities through online courses and workshops to enhance your skills continually. There is always room for improvement. ✨ Seek Guidance: Finding the right opportunity for you can be challenging so, don’t hesitate to seek career advice and support. Leeds Trinity University offers graduates up to three years of career support following graduation. For more information, reach out to careers@leedstrinity.ac.uk Congratulations to all the graduates!🎓🥳Your journey is just beginning, and I look forward to seeing your successes unfold. #LTUCompleted

CEO- D&M Electrical Contracting, Inc., Skilled Trades Advocate, Professional Race Driver-Pirelli Trans Am Series
Here's a fantastic story of how an apprenticeship shaped this young women's life. Apprenticeships are probably the best way to earn while you learn with absolutely no cost to the apprentice BUT they are not the only way to get into the trades. Trades schools and On-The-Job (OTJ) Training are also pathways. As a matter of fact, my career started entirely with OTJ training and eventually some formal education later on. This is how we Bring Back the Trades, Inc ! #skilledtrades #BringBackTheTrades #apprenticeship
Teresa Baranowski had been accepted to St. Mary's, a women's liberal arts college affiliated with Notre Dame, with plans to study forensic science. "But I went to this apprenticeship school for electricians, and I found that it was far more fascinating and $100,000 cheaper." https://bit.ly/3ND01J0 #IBEW
