A great op-ed out in the Arizona Capitol Times by Tim Hill on how investment decisions should be trusted to fiduciaries and investment professionals. https://lnkd.in/es35JPVX "Free-market principles and the fiduciary requirements of investment professionals should drive investment decisions for our public employee pensions. For the benefit of future Arizona retirees, the standard should be simple and unburdened by the political trends of the moment," - Tim Hill Policies federally and in states, like Arizona, which limit the ability of investors to consider important pieces of financial information, including environmental, social and corporate governance data, make it more difficult for fiduciaries and investment professionals to accurately price risks and opportunities. #SustainableInvesting #ESG #ResponsibleInvesting

As co-chair of ADISA's Legislative & Regulatory Committee, I have closely followed the Department of Labor's efforts to finalize its “Retirement Security Rule: Definition of an Investment Advice Fiduciary,” RIN 1210-AC02, or as its more simply known – the DOL fiduciary rule. The final rule was released on April 23 and will become effective on Sept. 23. #DepartmentofLabor #DOL #fiduciaryrule #registeredinvestmentadviser #RIA #retirementsecurityrule #fiduciarystandard #ERISA #retirementsavers #HispanicLeadershipFund #brokerdealer #investmentadvice #SupremeCourt #guestcontributor
