Heads UP SPACE COAST OF FL: FREE Aerospace Aviation Job Fair August 14, 2024: Cape Canaveral, FL [Brevard County, FL] July 16, 2024 -- Individuals seeking career and training opportunities in the aerospace and aviation industry are invited to attend a job fair offered by CareerSource Brevard Flagler Volusia. An initiative of the Florida Atlantic Workforce Alliance, the event is hosted in partnership with World Innovation Network (WIN), and will take place August 14, 2024, at Sands Space History Center: 100 Spaceport Way, Building 90328, Cape Canaveral, FL, from 10 am – 3 pm. The event is FREE, open to the public and walk-ins are welcome. Registration is not required but does speed up entry to the event. Jobseekers will meet both private employers and government contractors looking to hire for a wide range of positions from administration to engineering and everything in between. CareerSource Brevard Flagler Volusia has also received grant funding for individuals interested in pursuing careers in these high-demand fields, providing access to education and training. By attending this job fair, individuals can gather information and explore career opportunities with many of the county’s growing employers, community partners and training providers all in one place, while employers can leave with potential new recruits for consideration. The Florida Atlantic Coast is home to many recognized commercial space leaders in the industry who are investing in this area for access to a high-tech, highly skilled workforce in a continually growing space community. In fact, more than one third of all the aerospace employees in the state of Florida are employed in Brevard County. Companies like Blue Origin, OneWeb Technologies Satellites, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Embraer and others create a robust #aerospace and #aviation employment environment in this region. In addition, clusters of construction activity at Exploration Park, Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) and Boeing’s announcement of a facility at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, attest to the power of aviation and aerospace on Florida’s East Coast.
