The bearish sentiment is still dominating on the TTF and indeed, I also think that we could move lower to test the channel border near €28/MWh. Will be an interesting week! #TTF #natgas #energytrading

Thanks to Martin Crawford-Brunt and The Baltic Exchange for hosting a very entertaining discussion on EU-ETS and FuelEU-Maritime with Susana Germino and Toby Forrest. LNG, Bulker and Tanker markets are all going to face complexities in an increasingly exhausting regulatory environment and it was good to discuss the challenges with a little bit of dry humour. The shipping world is changing and Toby Forrest was right to say that we are dealing with the single most complicated piece of legislation we have ever faced. Data transparency, LNG new technologies and biofuels are all important near term essentials for shipowners. #balticexchange #smw #biofuels #fueleumaritime #swires #pavilionlng #vitol #shipping #decarbonisation

The need to understand the contractual complexity, commercial risk and the strategic implications of evolving emissions regulation (well beyond demonstrating compliance) was clearly articulated by this expert panel. There could be a number of unpleasant and expensive surprises in store for some who don't seek this wider perspective and "joined up thinking" which includes the market and contractual implications. Thank you to Susana Germino, Toby Forrest and Ian Butler for your valuable insights and perspectives as charterers, owners and operators. - across dry bulk, liner, tanker and LNG shipping. #balticexchange, #lookoutmaritime, #JoinedupThinkingPlease, #SMW2024

The TTF is taking a breather just above its target. This has the potential to turn into a full correction but we need confirmation. Until that happens, the near-term downtrend remains in place for now. #energytrading #technicalanalysis #TTF #natgas

What's next for the TTF once we hit channel support at €28/MWh? To me it's looking increasingly weaker but by bullish stance is maintained until we break below it. What do you see? #TTF #Energymarkets #energytrading #energycommodities

📈 #TTF goes on a rally, challenges 30 EUR/MWh threshold on Thursday session Despite a still rather comfortable #gas balance in Europe with high #storage levels and mild #weather forecasts, the TTF front-month contract finished Thursday's session up 8.7% influenced by multiple bullish factors: • Persistent conflict and rising geopolitical tensions in the #MiddleEast • #Russia launched attacks on Ukrainian underground gas storage for the second time in the past four weeks. Although the facilities remain operational, the attacks were a reminder of the potential vulnerability of energy #infrastructure in the midst of the conflict • The European Parliament is advancing measures to provide member states with a legal framework to halt imports of Russian #LNG, which totaled 17 bcm last year What are your thoughts on the near future of European gas #prices in light of these developments? Do you think TTF will rise above the 30 EUR/MWh mark in upcoming sessions—a threshold not surpassed since the end of January? Share your views and join the discussion below!
