The US Preventive Services Task Force has revised their guidelines on mammograms, advising women to start screening at age 40 and continue every other year until age 74. With cancer diagnoses on the rise among young people, early detection is crucial. This is especially true for Black women, who have a higher rate of deaths from breast cancer in their 40s compared to White women. #Racialequity #healthequity #Mammogram #breastcancer https://ow.ly/iwkB50REygM

Breaking the Myth! It’s a common misconception that breast cancer only affects women. However, the truth is that men can develop breast cancer too, although less frequently. Both men and women have breast tissue, which makes it possible for the disease to occur in either gender. Did You Know? Men make up about 1% of all breast cancer cases, with approximately 2,800 new male diagnoses estimated in the U.S. for 2024. 🎗️ Let’s raise awareness, break stereotypes, and encourage regular check-ups for everyone. Early detection saves lives, no matter who you are. From all of us at DoorMonk.
