National Crime Agency officers have today (10 July) arrested a second man as part of an investigation into an organised crime network suspected of organising cross-Channel small boat crossings. The 25-year-old Iraqi national is suspected of being involved in planning the movement of migrants across Europe and into northern France, with their end destination being the UK. He was detained this morning by NCA investigators on suspicion of facilitating illegal immigration and obtaining leave to remain by deception at an address in Preston and is now being questioned. Tackling organised immigration crime remains a priority for the NCA, and we are determined to do all we can, working with partners in the UK, Europe and beyond, to disrupt and dismantle the criminal networks involved. Hope this person is deported and a lifetime ban from entering the UK or territories, once their sentence has been served, and any assets they have are confiscated for POC.

This is fantastic news! He needs to be stripped of his assets and immediately deported with his family! Unfortunately he is just one of many! Well done NCA! Warmest regards Jon
