Fascinating article. As someone working in the most deprived communities, where trauma is often the norm, it’s reassuring to know that creating positive experiences for the children growing up in these communities can protect their future physical and mental health. From my own lived experience, I know that as difficult and damaging childhood trauma can be, it doesn’t need to define your future. There is always hope. This is why positive interventions are so important.
