Effective spatial allocation is essential for creating impactful museum exhibits. Different spaces have unique requirements, and our goal is to play to the strengths of any given gallery. Balancing big "wow" moments with limited space requires creativity and precision. In smaller spaces, we use clever design techniques to enhance the sense of openness and accessibility. Conversely, in big spaces we create intimate environments that draw visitors in and make them feel connected to the exhibit. Designing spaces to be effective for various types of visitors is also crucial. School groups need areas for gathering and interactive learning, families benefit from spaces that allow for shared experiences, and individual visitors appreciate zones for quiet reflection. Each design decision is made with these diverse needs in mind, ensuring a versatile and inclusive experience. By thoughtfully considering spatial allocation, we can craft exhibits that captivate and engage all visitors. How does the spatial design of a space impact your museum experience? #spatialallocation #spatialdesign #exhibitdesign #exhibitiondesign #exhibitdesigners #exhibitiondesigners

VIRTUAL TOUR PRESENTATION PLEASE CLICK THE IMAGE BELOW TO EXPERIENCE INTERACTIVE VIRTUAL TOUR PRESENTATION. We have been presenting and sharing our designs with the clients either in ppt or pdf format with plans, 3D renders, and material specifications on different slides where they will go through the design by moving from one slide to the next. I just thought of changing this style of presentation and moving to a different way of INTERACTIVE PRESENTATION through virtual tours. In which we can present our plan, materials used in the design, and also our 360-degree 3D renders (instead of flat 3D renders) on the same screen. Below is an example of a VIRTUAL TOUR PRESENTATION. When do attractions become more than sources of entertainment? When they create community and bring us closer to the people that we love. In our latest People Profile, Business Development Representative Kevin Kalbfeld speaks to the connective power of themed spaces. He also shares some of his artistic talents and reveals his true character (or at least, the character he would love to become). --- Don't miss Kevin, along with Monai Rooney, Lacy K Campbell, and Judith Zissman as they present "The Site-Specific Theater Playbook: Creating Authentic, Meaningful and Inimitable Experiences" at the Themed Entertainment Association's SATE North America conference. The term “site-specific theater” refers to a play that can only be performed in one location and is impossible to transfer to any other venue. The production gains authenticity and meaning by operating outside of a conventional theater and leaning into what is unique (and often logistically challenging) about the location. Similarly, attractions outside of the major theme park hubs are often able to realize incredibly powerful experiences by embracing the specificity of their unique locations. Whether it’s access to natural resources, generations’ worth of stories, or even historical artifacts, smaller parks, museums, and immersive experiences can artfully and accurately reflect a specific community to create an experience that feels specific, special, and spectacular. Drawing from years of making successful experiences at intimate scales, this panel will share their best practices and strategies for design and operation, often transforming logistical challenges into guest highlights. #wemakeascene #employeespotlight #design #themedentertainment #TEAsate

Olivia Vagelos is an experience designer, but I like to think of her as an emotional cartographer -- her work often charts a path into what's unknown and uncomfortable. It invites us to hold space, listen, and connect more deeply to each other and ourselves. It shocks me back to the real reason I became an "events person": because creating feelings and forging connections between real, beautiful, complicated human beings can be a gift. (Something we eventpeople can easily lose sight of amid the BEOs, COIs, and MOUs!) And now her new project, Designing Experiences for Radical Imagination, is finally live. This 8-week virtual retreat this fall will help you master designing imaginative, unforgettable, and transformative experiences. If you've been looking for a way to put those end-of-year PD dollars to work, here's your answer: https://lnkd.in/gMn8FXgs
🪩 THE PARTY IS OPEN. Enrollment and info sessions for ~Designing Experiences for Radical Imagination~ are officially live! Do you want an in depth journey through the frameworks you need to design experiences that make people feel feelings? Do you want to learn how to build portals, thresholds, exit ramps, mirrors, windows, and loops? Are you looking to design spaces for the collaborative and radical imagination needed for more inclusive, beautiful, regenerative futures? Do you want to design stuff that is less boring, sucky, and expected? Do you make things for humans? This is for you. 🪩 COME ON IN. The party starts this October. https://lnkd.in/efp6xCHd

5 timeless lessons in design thinking from Charles and Ray Eames: 1. Find out if there’s really a problem before providing a solution. 2. How you work is as important as what you make. 3. Discover why current designs were made. (“Innovate as a last resort.”) 4. Give the gift of knowledge. 5. Keep on iterating (even when you’re dead...) Wisdom extracted from my interview with Eames Office director https://lnkd.in/ey3CZzGA for the innovation issue of Greatest Magazine, online and in print:

ibit.ly/Yk_qj WhoMadeWho is leading the way into unchartered territories of creativity and immersive experiences In collaboration with Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), the heart of the Danish band’s stage design is the inflatable sphere; a striking embodiment of architectural ingenuity and inventive craftsmanship. This colossal structure stands as a testament to the transformative power of design. The sphere is not a static prop, it is a living, breathing entity that pulsates with life, responding to the rhythmic cadence of the music. Drawing inspiration from BIG’s previous ventures into inflatable creations like ‘SKUM’ and ‘THE ORB,’ the sphere serves as a mesmerising canvas for three-dimensional video projections.
