An often quoted metric is that it costs 5 times more to win a new customer as it does to retain one. It must be much higher in automotive retail especially when the OEM's marketing cost is included. This is a must attend event. #automotiveretail #cardealdeships
RWA Automotive's COO Neil Murphy will join the panel on the upcoming Automotive Management (AM) Webinar: The Vital Steps to Keep Customers Coming Back. We all know retention is hugely valuable to our businesses, but how do we do it? Catch the webinar next week. Registration is now open via the link below: https://bit.ly/3PNV2pS

After having participated in the very interesting VDA AUTOMOTIVE SYS CONFERENCE #VDA we can now insist in the usefulness of ISVV #ISVV activities in the auto domain. Who is ready for a Proof of Concept? We hope many OEMs and TIER1 will start trying these activities to improve the confidence in the critical complex SW being delivered in the automotive industry. The higher are the benefits in the space industry the more it is demonstrated to be useful in the Automotive one.

Helping clients achieve security and growth through personalized financial plans & advice, investments, insurance & tax strategies
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the ACG Automotive Update event at the historic Edsel Ford House. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with so many great people in the industry and gain insights into the current challenges facing automotive suppliers. Hearing directly from experts about the obstacles they face and how they’re adapting was valuable. Looking forward to applying these insights to better serve my clients in the industry and beyond. #ACG #Networking #AutomotiveIndustry #ProfessionalGrowth #BusinessPlanning

Thank you Thomas Greco Publishing Inc. and Kevin Gallerani for boldly stating what so many of us see everyday. This explanation by Kevin is spot on, and results in a very high risk game of liability roulette. As an automotive repairer holding the contract with the vehicle owner to perform safe and proper repairs its your job to ensure you or your vendors are aligned to the OEM standards of any repair operation. You wouldn't hire a mobile welder to stick weld a frame rail, nor would you purchase an arc welder for your own repair facility. Why would consideration for proper calibration be any less important? EVERY OEM has a procedure for correct calibration, this starts with the proper environment step 1. If you cant check mark that box internally then identify a qualified partner and evaluate the environment being used by them. This CANNOT be in a parking lot, in a work bay surrounded by objects and a floor drain, and it CANNOT be with make shift target holders and "devices" to clear a code and "complete" a calibration. Kevin's reference to a clean room is the ONLY option. If you chose less than that, then I agree with Kevin, send the job to someone who IS calibrating per OEM procedures. Calibration is best described as the process of learning for the applicable systems. How can that learning take place if the basic fundamentals are not considered and adhered to? We place extreme value on human education as a society. We need to place equal value on learning when it comes to safety systems on motor vehicles that we as a society are banking on in our own cars, and those we share the road with.
AASP/MA President Kevin Gallerani is frustrated with incorrect calibrations & he explains why on page 6 of New England Automotive Report. https://lnkd.in/e-YTkqAA #calibrations #safety #customercare #collisionrepair Kevin Gallerani
