With flood deductibles rising aggressively in #Canada and exclusions in the US; insurance solutions like this #parametric #flood #insurance product should be considered as part a portfolio's mix of insurance risk transfer. Canada has fewer options but large books of risk can develop these with select underwriters. We see this mix of traditional insurance and parametric solutions becoming table stakes as #climaterisks materialize and balance sheets become more exposed. RM's will do well to familiarize themselves with #parametricinsurance products.
