Our region is expected to experience heavy rain and windy conditions into the weekend, with gusts of more than 40 mph possible. Rain is predicted through Saturday with total rainfall amounts up to 7 inches or more, and higher than normal tides. Beware of localized flooding - rain occurring during peak high tide may take time to drain. As always during bad storms, find safe shelter, and not walk, play, swim or drive through flood waters.
