Recognizing that school districts employ an important segment of the workforce, especially in rural communities, I love the work our team does to connect district employers with funding and processes that can be used to upskill the educator workforce. Strong school systems are the foundation for everything else. This bill "Prioritizes employer-led initiatives that equip workers with the skill sets to fill jobs in critical industries and help the currently employed workforce upskill to avoid displacement and advance their careers." #teacherapprenticeship #growyourown #TNGYOC

The Tomorrow’s Workforce Coalition was formed to build support for the bipartisan, bicameral Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow’s Workforce Act. The bill would expand qualified expenses under 529 savings plans to include postsecondary training & credentialing, such as licenses & professional certifications – offering valuable tax-advantaged resources for anyone, with or without a college degree, who pursues career growth, mid-career changes or pathways that diverge from a typical academic route.   Tomorrow, the Coalition will deliver its sign-on letter to Congress to advocate directly for this beneficial workforce & economic development policy – which would benefit EVERY sector of the economy.   More than 650 member organizations have joined the cause. As a member of Tomorrow’s Workforce Coalition, ISSA is advocating for economic development policy that would strengthen the workforce now and, in the future, the Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow's Workforce Act (S. 722/H.R. 1477).
