Posting this for our patients and all healthcare providers. Explore the World of Vascular Health: Discovering Cystic Adventitial Disease (CAD). Have you ever heard of Cystic Adventitial Disease (CAD)? It's a rare condition that affects the blood vessels, often showing up in the popliteal artery, mainly in men. But what exactly is CAD, and why is it important? 🤔 Understanding CAD: Imagine your arteries are like pipes carrying blood throughout your body. CAD adds a twist to this story by causing cysts to form in the outer layer of these pipes. This can lead to a condition where you feel pain or cramping in your legs when you walk or exercise, known as claudication. 🔍 Finding the Clues: CAD can be tricky to diagnose because its symptoms may not fit the usual suspects of artery problems. Providers often use different tools like ultrasound, CT scans, or MRI to catch CAD in action. 🛠️ Treatment Options: So, what can be done about CAD? Well, there are a couple of options. One involves a surgery to remove the cysts, while the other is a less invasive procedure called aspiration, where the cysts are drained. 🔄 What's Next? Even after treatment, CAD might decide to make a comeback, which keeps providers and researchers on their toes, searching for better ways to tackle this condition. 💡 Learning Together: Whether you're someone dealing with CAD or just curious about medical mysteries, our article breaks down the complexities into bite-sized pieces, making it easy for everyone to understand. Our latest case study highlights how Dr. Micah Chan, Interventional Nephrologist at UW School of Medicine and Public Health, utilized the 7FR CLEANER™ Rotational Thrombectomy Device to restore flow of a patient's occluded AV graft with large pseudoaneurysms and significant clot burden. This emphasizes how the CLEANER device safely and effectively macerates clot within aneurysmal areas. View the full procedural details below to learn how Dr. Chan was able to utilize the CLEANER and advanced techniques to address this challenging procedure. #KeepitCLEANER https://lnkd.in/gvpMq_JY

Ultrasound is more than a pretty picture—accurate diagnostic imaging is often the catalyst for a treatment plan that leads to wellness. Take this analysis for example. Patients with inflammatory bowel disease (a highly uncomfortable condition) who were monitored by ultrasound experienced reduced time to changes in treatment and ultimately, remission. Why some injured kidneys do not heal . Investigators have discovered why some injured kidneys heal while others develop scarring that can lead to kidney failure. Their findings could lead to the development of noninvasive tests to detect kidney scarring and, eventually, new therapies to reverse the condition. #ScienceDailynews #InnovativeResearch #NextGenScience #ExploringFrontiers
