While growing up & after our Board Exams, we had choices like Science, Commerce & Humanities (called Arts at that time). Some of us may have liked Maths, but hated Physics like anything but still, we didn’t have any choice but to swallow PCMB. But now time has changed. There are interdisciplinary options & students can choose from different subjects from different cohorts & still achieve their goals. That goal can be different from the conventional ‘Doctors/Engineers’ as our present curriculum & pedagogy gives students this opportunity. https://lnkd.in/geB6DMfF

Interesting how the concept of time is communicated at different levels. The difficulty we, Instructors, especially those engaged with students of different levels encounter when explaining a concept. It is important to keep in mind the nature of your audience before deciding on how the delivery will be.... Quit an interesting presentation

See the one with the growth charts in loud colors? That's my project (not my graphic!) I built a RAG for the ArXiv repository in Wolfram Language, using experimental features in the 14.1 release, including a builtin SemanticSearch object. It works with a Chat Notebook that's available on the platform to provide interactive search of the ArXiv repository based on the user's query. Yeah, you heard me right. I wrote a copilot. But I did it for scientific research, which makes it ok. For further development of the tool I'll use a Chain-of-Thought design to download a chosen paper and crunch past all the citations to get to a useful summary. It's a work in progress, and won't be much use until 14.1 is released, but it's a-comin'! #wss24 #wolfram #RAG #AI #LLM
