We stand together to shine a light on the global crisis of suicide. Every year, over 48,000 lives are lost to suicide in the U.S. alone, making it a critical issue we must address. These numbers highlight the urgent need for awareness, compassion, and action. If you or someone you know is struggling, remember: seeking help is a sign of strength. These numbers are more than statistics; they represent lives lost and families impacted. Raise awareness to prevent suicide, support each other, and make mental health a priority. 💪💛 • • • • • #glowmedia #glowmediafilms #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters #worldsuicidepreventionday #suicidepreventionmonth #youarenotalone

Today the Federal Government released the draft National Suicide Prevention Strategy for public comment. With suicide the leading cause of death for Australians aged bwteeen 15 and 49 we must do more to prevent this terrible tragedy. As someone who has suffered from acute suicidal ideation which is a typical symptom of Pre-Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder I know how helpless you can feel when in this state. 40% of women with PMDD experience suicidal ideation. This can and must be prevented. Women need to be properly diagnosed and treated early. Not misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder and mistreated with the wrong medication. Women report taking up to 12 years, some even more, to get a diagnosis. This isn’t good enough. We can do better. Make the time to review the draft strategy and have your say. #mentalhealth
