EU wind and solar overtake fossil power in the first half of 2024! New analysis from Ember shows wind and sun generated 30% of EU electricity, compared to 27% fossil generation. https://lnkd.in/eK3_FCi4 

The Energy Council will start publishing a view of cumulative load shedding. With the significant escalation of new generation, largely wind and solar we are definitely seeing a decoupling of the direct correlation between EAF and stages of Load Shedding. To realise an end to load shedding, Eskom must stabilise the decline in EAF and investment growth in new generation must continue.
