This week NRF and H&M brought advocacy to the Big Easy and presented Rep. Troy Carter with the 2024 Hero of Main Street award at the retailer’s French Quarter store in New Orleans. Rep. Carter also learned how #retailcrime is affecting communities across the country leading up to #FightRetailCrimeDay on Oct. 24.

Recently, the NRF Retail Communicators’ Network convened 25 senior retail communications professionals to learn from subject matter experts on pressing topics in the industry including the 2024 election season, economic outlook and consumer trends. The group also discussed how communicators can better understand misinformation, disinformation and mal-information threats.
