Our fearless leader Edie Weintraub was recently featured in a Bisnow article all about the obstacles Atlanta retailers are facing. “While most of the drop was attributed to the lack of availability, many retailers are opening smaller-than-expected locations. Shrinking store footprints are helping retailers achieve cash flow sooner with new locations.” Click the link below to read the full article: https://lnkd.in/eG-zXMVt #CRE #BusinessFeature #BisNow #AtlantaMarket

#Sembler CEO Greg Sembler + VP of Leasing Eve Sembler attended 2023 ICSC New York connecting with other #commercialrealestate professionals to dive-into retail real estate trends and capital market outlooks and connect with top retailers. Top takeaways are: ➢ ICSC CEO Tom McGee reported #retailsales grew 90% over the last 15 years, butnew space supply only grew 6%, creating a supply and demand mismatch leading to record levels of occupancy and competition for space. ➢ COO of Centennial Whitney Livingston said a major COVID take-away was employees need more flexibility, so stop creating corporate policies for the bottom 20% of employees and instead create a supportive environment for your high achievers based on trust and respect, which leads to a more productive workplace and better #talentretention. ➢ Greg Sembler + Eve Sembler connected with Ace Pickleball Club President Joe Sexton to discuss the longevity and popularity of #pickeball and possibility of it becoming a NCAA sport. Did you attend ICSC New York? What were your top takeaways? #ICSC #semblercompany #dealmaking #marketplaces #retailrealestate

There are moments worth celebrating. Wins are still out there no matter how things may appear. Two more retail stores approved for clients in NJ and another two full vertical licenses (cult, manu, retail) for two clients that own their own land in NJ. There are also losses. In the 1,300 range for NY priority review. Likely not a winner. Onward and upward. Learn from each experience and bring that to the next venture or deal. Still have a great location in New Rochelle for anyone that wins in the Mid-Hudson region.

Converting prospects to clients in real estate ¦ Business Development & Marketing for the Built Environment
An afternoon of positivity about the retail sector at this Profile Network discussion. Footfall and spend in physical retail recovering, new uses, new brands, new concepts. Although still not easy, there was a sense of recovery that the sector has been through the worst, which has forced all stakeholders - investors, managers, operators, local authorities - to completely re-think what works. Can't help feeling that the office sector has still to go through the pain needed to force a similar reboot? #cre #realestate #builtenvironment
Great to hear from Sam Fox Tracey Pollard MRICS and Rebecca Sawyer at our Retail seminar yesterday. While the UK retail sector faces many challenges, it was enlightening to hear findings of Ellandi’s latest shopper survey, and new brands and F&B concepts entering the market. Thanks to Duncan Lamb for moderating and Nicholas Barrows and team at Trowers & Hamlins for hosting us. Do keep an eye on our website for upcoming events. #propertynetworking #retail

An Absolute MASTERCLASS in #Marketing right here by Molson Coors Beverage Company. In an era where ads are everywhere in sports (like on jerseys), Molson took such a brilliant approach here. Normally, someone's name would be on the top of the jersey but when many players have ponytails or longer hair covering their name, it's disappointing. It's a common problem in women's sports. So... for this new women's hockey league that just launched, Molson announced that instead of player's names being featured at the top of a jersey like normal and risking being naturally "covered up" they put their company advertisement at the top so that the COMPANY is covered up by hair. All player's last names will then be at the bottom of the jersey in full view for everyone to see. Molson will get so much positive press behind this and they should. It's a great way to naturally integrate while leading with value, not the sale. Will someone buy Molson because they like beer? Sure. Will more people (especially individuals who play/watch hockey) now buy Molson because they were at the forefront of something cool like this? 100%. Lead with value and integrate naturally. That's the key to success. https://lnkd.in/gncQk9mN #womenssports #womenshockey #hockey #advertising #adcampaigns #Adstrategy
