Fourier’s einstein™ bundles provide educators and students with STEM packages tailored to suit different subjects and grade levels- from core science subjects to contemporary issues that focus on today's real-time challenges. The Environmental & Renewable Energy Bundles present a holistic tool to learn about today's most relevant topics , such as Climate Change, Solar Energy, and Water, Air and Soil Quality. Each bundle proposes a recommendation for the best Fourier solution for the specific topic- an einstein™ Tablet or the einstein™ LabMate, the relevant sensors for each topic, and the MiLABEx software to define the experiment, run it, and share the results. With tools designed to measure, analyze, and present weather patterns, carbon footprint, renewable energy, air quality data, temperature, humidity, and more, students can engage in hands-on experiments that make climate education tangible and relevant. Explore our einstein™ bundles and find the perfect fit for your classroom's unique needs. Engaging students with hands-on experiments is one of the most effective ways to teach. Fourier's solutions, with the einstein™ platform that consists of the MiLABEx software, data loggers and sensors, are designed to empower science teaching across diverse environments, both in classroom and in outdoor learning environments. Few experimental examples for using the einstein™ platform, when teaching environmental sustainability: * Air Quality Monitoring with the CO₂, PM (Particulate Matter). Temperature and Humidity Sensors can assist in analyzing the effects of pollution on local environments. * Water Quality Testing with the Turbidity, pH, Conductivity and dissolved O₂ Sensors enables students to test water from nearby water sources to assess the impact of pollution or climate change on water resources. * Soil Quality Testing with the pH, Conductivity, Combined O₂ , Soil humidity and Temperature Sensors enables students to test soil samples from nearby areas to assess the impact of pollution or climate change on soil resources. * Renewable Energy Projects with the Light , Current and Temperature sensors can help students understand how solar panels work, measure energy outputs, and experiment with renewable energy sources. What a proud moment for the campus as Dr XAVIER T S along with his team members, T. Merin, S.G.Ganesh , M.A. Anu, S.R.Sreelekshmi from Department of Physics discovered the scientific method of creating activated carbon from coconut husks scientifically opening up pathways to revilutionise the industry of electric vehicles. Activated carbon is used in supercapacitors, which provide rapid charging and discharging capabilities, complementing the battery's slower charging process.Activated carbon can help in managing battery thermal stability, thereby prolonging the lifespan of lithium-ion batteries used in EVs. Due to its high adsorption capacity, activated carbon can be used in compact and lightweight filtration systems, reducing overall vehicle weight & improving efficiency. Utilizing activated carbon in EVs aligns with sustainability goals, as it can be produced from renewable sources and helps reduce the overall environmental footprint of the vehicle not to mention economic efficiency as well. Congratulating the brilliant team led by Xavier sir on this momentous achievement. 👏🏼 #scientificinventions #electricvehicles #sustainablegoals #activatedcarbon #academicachievements #thermalstability #environmentfriendly #capcitators #scientificachievement #academicexcellence #facultyachievements #resesrchscholars #scientifcdiscoveries #gcw125 #gcw2024 #researchcentre #deptofphysics #innovation #sciencefortomorrow

🔬 This week's research spotlight: Transition in Energy, Culture and Society (TECS) 🗒️ Project Overview: Led by FES PI Dr. Mark Simpson, the TECS project is conducting research in Energy Humanities by exploring the intricate social and cultural dimensions of energy transition. A central challenge in this transition is understanding how energy use shapes habits, practices, beliefs, and desires unique to each energy form. The TECS team utilizes qualitative methods and creative critique to analyze these connections between energy and society, aiming to address and envision potential changes in social and cultural life as we undergo significant shifts in our energy systems. One intriguing aspect being explored is whether microchips can serve as a metaphor for energy transitions. 💡 Key Objectives: ✨ Investigate the social and cultural impacts of energy transitions ✨ Use qualitative and creative methods to explore energy and societal links ✨ Address and envision changes needed for large-scale energy shifts ✨ Develop integrated projects including publications, conferences, and workshops on energy and society ✨ Promote energy literacy through international dialogues and collaborative educational projects Learn more about this project here 👉: https://lnkd.in/gMJisAdw #EnergyHumanities #CulturalTransition #FutureEnergySystems
