Today is International HR Day and this week marks my one year anniversary of joining Lattice. For the past year I've been lucky to work with from some of the most strategic HR leaders in the industry including Cara Brennan Allamano and here's what I've learned from them: ⭐ The best HR leaders are business leaders. 🌟 Happy HR Day! 🌟 In honor of HR Day, I’d like to share a fun little story from our office. A few months ago, during a team lunch, some of our employees decided to have a little fun at the expense of HR. They joked about how HR is just about “planning parties and sending emails.” We all had a good laugh, but it also gave me a chance to share a bit more about what we actually do. I explained how HR is involved in strategic planning, conflict resolution, talent development, and ensuring a positive work culture. We’re there to support employees at every stage, from onboarding to career growth and beyond. By the end of the conversation, there was a newfound appreciation for the work we do. It’s moments like these that remind me how important it is to communicate the true value of HR. Yes, we plan the parties, but we also play a critical role in shaping the organization’s future and supporting our people.
