Thomas "Alec" More, AICP and the SRF Consulting Group team are working with the Lower Savannah Council of Governments to create a more useable and safe public transportation system! Check out the local coverage. Alec says, “We’ve really learned that there is a market for public transportation services in Aiken County. But we’ve also certainly learned that there are opportunities that we can improve the performance of the service, the efficiency of the service, and just make it a more useful service overall to Aiken and North Augusta." https://lnkd.in/g2fXGBcx

Belfast Harbour was among a number of organisations which met with Scottish First Minister John Swinney this week to discuss the need for upgrades to the A75 road in South-West Scotland. The A75 is a key economic corridor for trade between NI and the wider island, into Scotland and the rest of GB. Many of our port customers depend on it as a route to market, but it is in urgent need of upgrading – to improve safety, reduce congestion and improve the flow of goods and services. We were pleased to share our insights into the necessity of upgrades on this important highway with Mr Swinney and his team. The First Minister said he found the meeting “helpful and informative” and would identify with the Transport Secretary the best course of action to address the issues discussed.

Relentlessly, tragically, avoidably. Those who pose the risk are best placed to manage it. I’ll be talking about how to apply #riskmanagement to road danger with a world first standard CLOCS, Construction Logistics & Community Safety. The NTA will do what the NTA want to do. It is very much a smokescreen. New routes , no shelters - what a sham
