CISSAJK Strategic Forecast | Research Officer Maryyum Masood and Mobeen Jafar Mir from Center for International Strategic Studies, Islamabad (Official) writes for Strategic Forecast on India's Position in SCO : The Pot Calling the Kettle Black. According to authors, #NewDelhi’s endorsement of the ‘#AkhandBharat’ concept raises concerns among its regional partners, further eroding the trust needed for genuine cooperation within multilateral forums. This vision, which implies a unified Indian subcontinent under a single cultural or political framework, is seen by neighboring countries as a direct challenge to their sovereignty and territorial integrity. Such ambitions stoke fears of #India attempts of regional dominance and create tension within platforms like the #SCO, where the foundation rests on mutual respect and the commitment to equality among member states. We're thrilled to announce that our paper, "The Governance of Internal Migration: Learning from the Pre- and Post-COVID-19 Policy Responses of Indian States," has been published in Sage Journals. In this study, we delve into the governance of internal migration in India, focusing on the COVID-19 pandemic. Navigating Bangladesh’s Leadership Transition: Implications for Regional Dynamics With Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s expected departure, Bangladesh stands on the brink of a significant political transition. Her tenure has been marked by notable strides in infrastructure, healthcare, and education, alongside various challenges that have defined her leadership. For India, this transition is especially relevant. The strong ties between the two countries, including economic, cultural, and strategic connections, make Bangladesh’s stability crucial for regional stability and cooperation. Under Hasina, bilateral relations have flourished, with collaboration on trade, security, and environmental issues. As Bangladesh navigates this leadership change, it will be important to observe how it affects both domestic policies and regional dynamics. For India, the evolving leadership in Dhaka will be a critical factor in shaping future interactions and ensuring ongoing mutual progress. Additionally, there could be setbacks in addressing critical issues such as poverty, education, and infrastructure if a new leadership struggles to maintain the momentum Hasina’s administration achieved. For neighboring countries like India, this instability may affect regional cooperation and collaborative efforts on shared challenges, such as security and environmental management. The coming period will be essential for maintaining stability and continuing the positive trajectory that has been established. Digajmaan Mishra Chaitanya Singh Vijesh P. India's Act East Policy, launched in 2014, represents a strategic shift towards deeper engagement with Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific. Its effectiveness relies on promoting political stability in neighbouring countries and strengthening economic cooperation. However, challenges in Myanmar and Bangladesh obstruct trade and investment efforts. Strengthening diplomatic relations and regional security cooperation is crucial for stabilising the region. Additionally, focusing on infrastructure development and connectivity in India's Northeast is essential for long-term growth. By prioritising skill development, cross-border collaboration, and regional partnerships, India can transform the Northeast into a thriving hub for inclusive growth while bolstering ties with Southeast Asia. For more insights, read the article in "The Assam Tribune". #ActEastPolicy #ActEastPolicyAffairs #NortheastIndia #VikshitBharat #ForeignPolicy #EconomicDevelopment #Geopolitics #NEIPPF #ASEAN #IndoPacific #RegionalCooperation #Connectivity #MDoNER #PublicPolicy #SouthEastAsia
