♻️Waste Not, Want Not National Energy has completed our second solar-powered waste compactor and recycling hub project, located at the Port of Galeota. This system is designed to meet Trinidad and Tobago’s environmental standards while promoting proper waste management practices. The hub includes: ✅ Three recycling bins for plastic, paper, glass, and aluminum cans, strategically placed at Customs, the Administration Office, and the Security Booth. ✅ A solar-powered waste compactor, fully operational using clean energy from sunlight. In 12 months you would be producing GHG, and enhancing scope 1,2,3 emissions with them wide open bins. Lighting look poorly design maybe I'm OCD. 😕
National Energy Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited good initiative, especially as a key national corporation 👏🏼. Question: any similar initiatives for organic/food waste? Not that approximately 20% of our landfills comprise food waste.
Working progress. Nice!!
JOKE--
While this is a great initiative, as most would not know all the trash that is collected is all mixed and disposed of in the dump 😁 😂
