Celebrating 5 years of impact! 🎉 A number of NSC’s incredible legal team members gathered at City Hall for PAIFUP’s anniversary roundtable event this week. We were proud to honor the progress we’ve made in providing legal support to Philadelphia's immigrant community and reflect on the work ahead.

Philadelphia Partnership for Resilience (PPR) works with immigrant survivors of torture. It is through our many partnerships and referrals that we are able to holistically meet our clients' multifaceted goals. This summer, we had the honor of hosting 8 incredible art therapy sessions for Ukrainian refugees as part of our wellness program. 🎨✨ Over 40 clients participated, with around 20 joining us at each session. Together, with the guidance of our amazing art teacher (from Sheremet School of Talents), we created beautiful pieces of art while also discussing crucial topics for newcomers—adjusting to a new reality, helping children settle into a new life, finding hobbies and friends, after-school activities, and managing stress. For many, this was their first chance to pick up a paintbrush since fleeing the war. NSC was proud to provide them with the supplies and the space to relax, create, and reconnect with moments of joy from back home 💙🇺🇦

Congratulations to our amazing colleagues at African Family Health Organization for continuing to eliminate barriers to access to needed care for the immigrants they serve. Kudos to Oni Richards and her incredible team on this important expansion of their critical services.
