In the face of unimaginable loss, some find the strength to turn their pain into purpose. Lisa Hallett is one such inspiring soul. Fifteen years ago, Lisa's world shattered when her husband, an Army officer, was killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan. Instead of letting grief consume her, she chose to honor his memory in an extraordinary way. This Sunday, on the anniversary of her husband's passing, Lisa will embark on a grueling 93-mile run. Her incredible journey exemplifies the resilience and dedication of those who have lost loved ones in service to our country. We're humbled to have Lisa's story as part of our storytelling at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum. Her strength and determination serve as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our military families. Join us in cheering Lisa on and learn more about wear blue: run to remember: https://bit.ly/3MeChtx Together, we can honor those who gave all and support the families they left behind. #NVMM #Veterans #Military #Museum #WomenWarriorWednesday #RunfortheFallen #MilitaryFamilies #neverforget

Respect between generations-an unspoken promise of continuity. A glimpse. A moment. A single salute exchanged between a young child and a stalwart soldier. It's not just a courteous gesture; it's a profound symbol. A powerful symbol of inspiration and honor. we see more than respect. We see the soldier's legacy secured in the hands of the next generation. We see the boy, inspired by the soldier's valor, ready to accept the call to service. Our brave soldiers are not just defenders but mentors, instilling the spirit to serve the nation in the hearts of our youth. We are the guardians of this legacy. Our responsibility is to foster an environment where such heroism can thrive. We must honor our soldiers by playing our part, by creating a world where the torch can be passed safely. Whether it's extending a helping hand to a veteran, supporting military families, or simply fostering a culture of respect for our armed forces, we can make a difference. Remember - A single salute holds the power to inspire a generation. Let's ensure it doesn't stop there. Keep the legacy moving, keep it glowing. #Indianarmy #inspiration #Nationfirst #patriotism #india

Empowering Leaders in Career Transition | Certified Career & Personal Development Coach | Elevating Success in Career & Life | Veteran | VOSB
On this day, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the heroes who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable tragedy. First responders, medical personnel, and countless volunteers served courageously, offering their all to help families and communities in need. As a USAF veteran, I’ve come to reflect on what it truly means to serve. When we sign up to join the military, I don’t know if we fully understand the weight of giving ourselves for others. But when the moment comes—when faced with the decision to defend our country, fight for freedom, and even face the possibility of war—so many do not flinch. They serve with honor, and some pay the ultimate price so that others can live their lives in peace. This spirit of selflessness and sacrifice is something I carry with me, not only from my military service but also in everyday life. Whether on the battlefield or in the challenges we face daily, standing for what you believe in and knowing your value is a form of strength that can inspire and uplift those around us. Today, we honor those who gave their lives on 9/11 and those who continue to serve. Let’s never forget their sacrifice and strive to support one another in their memory. #NeverForget #911Heroes #EqualPayEqualSay #VeteranStrong #ServiceAndSacrifice #Resilience #Leadership #HonoringTheFallen #MilitaryService #NeverForget #911Heroes #EqualPayEqualSay #VeteranStrong #ServiceAndSacrifice #Resilience #Leadership #HonoringTheFallen #MilitaryService

☁️ Cloud Solutions Architect at AWS ⭐ US Army Veteran and #FourBlockMilCity Instructor 📚 Renaissance Woman and Stoic
In the military community, we each wear our service differently. My journey as a young female veteran may not mirror the classic narrative—shorter service, no deployment, not climbing ranks, and often, my contribution is overshadowed or dismissed. Yet, every act of service, no matter the scale, shares the same core of selflessness and commitment. You know I love #actionableadvice so here it goes... If you are a #veteran: 1. Speak Up and Get Louder 📣 Share your story. The more we vocalize our experiences, the more we normalize the diversity of military service. 2. Support Each Other 💯 Actively listen to and uplift fellow veterans' stories. Every story adds value and strength to the tapestry of our community. 3. Educate and Empower 💪 Use your voice to enlighten others. Highlight the importance of every role within the military, breaking down stereotypes and stigmas. Remember, comparing services diminishes our collective sacrifices. Let’s shift the focus to unity and respect for all contributions, large or small. Together, we can foster a community that honors every form of service and gives the world an example of the union we all crave. 🌌 #veteranshelpingveterans #communitybuilder #radicalresponsibility #empowerment

May is Military Appreciation Month, a time to honor and recognize the contributions and sacrifices of the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Every day, American service members and their families make the selfless decision to help defend our freedoms and safety around the globe. Military life often involves huge sacrifices – whether it’s relocating far from family and friends or service members’ spouses giving up their own careers to keep their family unit together. There are countless ways to show your appreciation and give back to our veterans, active military personnel and their families. One of the simplest ways of showing appreciation is to say, “thank you.” You might also consider giving a military spouse a hand in their day-to-day lives. If you know a deployed military family, why not drop off a meal, offer to babysit or take their dog for a walk? And if you’re a business owner, giving back can be as easy as providing a military discount. These small gestures can go a long way in supporting service members and their families. As a veteran myself, I understand the importance of support and camaraderie within the military community and I encourage you to join me in showing appreciation in whatever way you can, both this month and always. #MilitaryAppreciationMonth #MilitaryAppreciation #Veterans #SupportOurVeterans

Centrinex and Customer Care Global honor our fallen heroes and veterans on this Memorial Day - May 27, 2024 A Promise to the Fallen “Freedom is not free.” That’s a phrase we’ve all heard. But we don’t often consider who pays the cost of that freedom. Very few Americans swear an oath to defend our country. And of these patriots, only a small fraction lose their lives serving the nation. Every year, on Memorial Day, we do our best to honor the fallen. It’s a day of solemn remembrance. A day to acknowledge the opportunities we enjoy, thanks to the actions of these courageous individuals. On this day, we are reminded to “never forget.” But as time passes, many of their names and stories can be lost to history if we don’t work to keep them in our collective memory. So how do we “never forget”? How do we remember the willingness of these gallant souls to do what others would not? How do we truly honor them, not on a single day, but every day? The answer is to stand for America’s founding values. To strengthen our communities. To give back whenever we can. To make this the best nation on earth, not by what we say, but by what we do. This is a promise to the fallen—a vow to live our lives to the fullest and for each other. Because our days didn’t come without a cost, and we will never forget that you are the ones who paid the price. Important reminder for the upcoming holiday... 👉Memorial Day (last Monday of May) is a day for remembering and honoring military personnel who died during service to their country. 👉Veterans Day (November 11th) is the day set aside to thank and honor all who served honorably in the military; past and present, living and deceased. Note the difference and plan your social media posts appropriately. As GI Joe would say, "Now you know, and knowing is half the battle." 💯 Hot Take🔥 It's really not appropriate to say "Happy" Memorial Day. When you think about the true meaning of the day, it's more of a solemn note. #UnpopularOpinion . . . #SocialMedia #SocialMediaMarketing #SocialMediaStrategy #SocialMediaManager #SmallBusinessOwner #DigitalMarketing #digitalmarketing #socialmediaguru #smallbusinesssupport #MemorialDay #VeteransDay #Philadelphia #Marketing #SocialMediaExpert #SocialMediaStrategist #BucksCountyPA #BucksCountyBusiness #DoylestownPA #WarringtonPA #ChalfontPA #NewtownPA #MontcoPA #MakeItMontco #HatboroPA #HorshamPA #PlymouthMeeting #AdmasCountyPA #FrederickMD #SocialMediaHelp
