An interesting article that popped up on my radar a few weeks ago https://lnkd.in/gvqDqMEe A few things stood out, predominantly the requirement for more professionals in this cyber space. My take? We need to start talking about cyber and technology in schools. In all of my schooling, no one ever encouraged me in technology as a subject. Ditto in tertiary studies. It was a tool, but never discussed as a career pathway. I didn't even know it was an option until I finished university, and all of a sudden - jobs were numerous in the tech sector. It's not a tech conversation. It's not that people need to learn to code at school or learn technology skills. Let's start with the soft skills that everyone needs and go from there. People will become engaged, they will learn to protect themselves and organisations they work for, and we will be more secure as a whole for it.
