As we dive into an electric future, it's not just about e-cars; we need to consider the broader spectrum of mobility, including heavy-duty vehicles. The decarbonization of freight transport brings new challenges to the development of electric heavy-duty trucks, which differ from the challenges in the automotive sector. One of the challenges is the combination of a vehicle weighing up to 40 tons and road gradient, resulting in road loads that decrease the vehicle speed if the required shift speed is too high. This is why ensuring safe and rapid gear shifts is crucial. The required synchronization of the transmission input speed with that of the transmission output is performed by the inverter controller. As a result new requirements for the test methodology arise. Discover how one of Europe’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers solved this issue using our Inverter Test System https://bit.ly/477ygir
