The day after....
What an amazing Kickstart Europe Conference it was. One of the best (or 𝘵𝘩𝘦 best) organized data center events. For example, each booth had a big vase filled with flowers... in the colors of the exhibitor's logo!
It's those details that show love for the event itself.
My main takeaways can be summarized in two words: 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐭𝐲.
Current and future developments increase the complexity of any data center and its complete value chain. From financing to design and eventually its decommissioning:
◾ Hybrid types of cooling or even new types of cooling that still need a lot of questions figured out (liquid to air, liquid to liquid,...)
◾ More advanced and complex DC assets
◾ Increasingly complex and challenging regulations revolving around energy consumption and sustainability
◾ A dynamic trade-off and data center setup between compute and storage
◾ More volatile and extreme external (weather) conditions that influence all of a site's inner workings
◾ ... and the list goes on
Even though there are a lot of point solutions for any of them individually, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘪𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘱, that takes into account all externalities.
Here's where we need more intelligence. 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫.
Kickstart Europe Conference 2024 is a wrap❗️
With that many seasoned data center professionals in a single location, an impeccable organization by the Dutch Data Center Association and lots of eagerness to learn and share, it was an amazing event.
The positive feedback about the value that our innovative AI platform delivers to any data center globally was downright humbling. The potential is huge and people loved hearing how we scale this on a global level. 🌎
We can't wait for the 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣ edition!
