Leading the conversation around Legal Talent Acquisition in Oxfordshire, Hampshire & Reading - 07926313408
The Royal Navy and Royal Marines experience a 27% shortfall in recruitment, the latest in a 14 year trend of a widening gap between recruitment goals and the number or new recruits entering each force. Whilst this is by no means a crisis, the vast majority of private defence contractors I work with, have a forces background. This makes me ponder whether a lack of talent entering into the armed forces will eventually have a serious impact on the number of ancillary/consultancy 3rd party employees who would want to work within Defence and National Security roles. Thoughts from my network would be appreciated on this one. #royalnavy #defencejobs #defenceindustry #hiringtrends

The Final Formation is an event organized by the Florida Army National Guard for soldiers nearing their Expiration Term of Service (ETS). This event offers a platform for reenlistment with exceptional benefits. Eligible soldiers could receive bonuses, although it’s important to note that these bonuses are specific to certain Military Occupational Specialties (MOS). Please consult your Readiness NCO to see if you qualify. Additionally, the event provides opportunities to explore new units and MOSs. It’s important to understand that attending the Final Formation does not guarantee these opportunities, but it is highly encouraged to attend. Attending can help you seek out any potential opportunities that could allow you to continue serving the great state of Florida. Furthermore, it’s possible to address these incentives directly at your unit before attending the Final Formation. We strongly encourage you to collaborate with your Readiness NCO in advance to see how they can assist you. #nationalguard #armynationalguard #usmilitary

Things to keep in mind... The military, like any organization, is made up of people. People make decisions and take actions, sometimes outside of what are assumed/expected to be the cultural norms of the organization. Sometimes, those decisions and actions can be shared in a way that feeds a particular narrative. If a member of the military...*any* service member..._abandons_ their post, there are consequences, most often enforced through the application of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So, here's the question...did a senior enlisted member of a unit "abandon" the unit prior to deployment, or did they (a) train the unit so that they could thrive on their own, and then (b) submit a request that was then (c) approved by a higher command? I guess it depends on your narrative.

What’s my WHY⁉️ In 2018 I volunteered at a Veterans homeless Stand Down, and ran into a person I was stationed with 12 years earlier…unfortunately they were enrolled in HUDVASH and weren’t one of the other volunteers.

The Marine Corps is rolling out new retention bonuses to keep Marines in critical roles, with incentives of up to $105,000 for those transferring to high-demand jobs like counterintelligence and cyber operations. In addition to primary MOS bonuses, certain jobs will qualify for "kicker" bonuses, adding thousands more to reenlistment rewards. These incentives aim to address skill shortages while also recognizing that many Marines reenlist for camaraderie, culture, and career stability. Notably, the Corps is pausing the "Broken Service" bonus program this year, as Marines returning to duty cite non-monetary reasons for rejoining. https://lnkd.in/gbkUryd9 #MarineCorps #RetentionBonuses #Reenlistment #MilitaryCareers #Veterans #MilitaryIncentives
