One of these days, perhaps we will live in a full meritocracy. Not yet. Bias kind of reminds me of that old chant about ice cream. I scream. You scream. We all scream for ice cream. I've got bias. You've got bias. If you think you're not biased, that's your bias. Not all bias is bad. All bias is a shortcut around reasoning. That's its -- often valuable -- function. And in a world of bias, it is sometimes important to band together to give reason enough muscle to get back in the game. Here's to F3! Muscle to bring reason to a mistaken shortcut.

Way to go Maryanne Morrow & team! There is a tendency to believe that men hold immense potential in any case, while simultaneously questioning the validity of women's past accomplishments as evidence for their likelihood to succeed. "Aren't you worried that you'll fail?" has followed me around my whole life, and I am stronger, more resilient and deeply knowledgeable both inherently and as a result of knowing I will come up against this "prevention-question" type of diminishment at every turn. Literally the percentage of investment put into us is negligible. We get told we must prove ourselves, but it is never enough.
