It has been a long, crazy, chaotic, incredible year full of some of my favourite projects alongside some of my favourite people. It’s an honor to have The Hollywood Reporter recognize all our hard work with this Producer of the Year award. And HUGE thank you to always-so-engaging-I-lose-all-track-of-time, Pamela McClintock.

I wasn’t expecting NBCUniversal to call me to serve as a superstar commentator at this years summer Olympics in Paris, it really felt like a whole other universe, based off of where I started, but over the years I felt like I positioned myself for this, showing I’m reliable, professional, that I know what I’m doing, and people love to see me.
It’s a lesson: to let the world see growth, how somebody can go from being hated, banned from countries, thrown in jail, to now America’s most lovable person.

How often do we judge someone else’s tomorrow, based on their today?
How often do we judge OUR OWN tomorrow, based on where we are today?
Like him or not, Snoop is a masterclass (all by himself), of what authentic success can look like.
Oh and…the best part? He used his voice.
He found success not by conforming, but by using his voice — literally and figuratively — in a way that’s true to who he is. His unique voice, his style, and his message have made an impact across generations and industries.
His career is a reminder of the incredible power that comes from embracing your own voice. Whether it’s on a stage, through your work, or in the way you lead your life, your voice has the power to shape your success and create a lasting impact.
Using your voice authentically opens doors (for you and others), and it inspires others to do the same.
Next time you question whether your voice is enough, remember this.

This post brightened my LI feed this morning! 🌞
I, like many people, enjoyed seeing the unlikely presence of Snoop Dogg as a commentator at the Paris Summer Olympics. He brought the fun, he brought hype, he was so excited to watch the various events and it made ME excited to watch that event!
What I love MORE about this post, is Snoops view on his own personal growth! It's inspiring to see someone embrace how they personally have evolved, how it's impacted their career evolving into unknown and unexpected places.
I love this post, because personal growth and having a growth mindset is the incredible work we get to do at The People Side. We get to help leaders see themselves, let go of what hinders them and evolve into the next version of themselves....often impacting their career as well.
Thanks Snoop Dogg for being your authentic self and taking us along for the ride! 💖

How artist evolve is like a flower budding. The first phase is hard enough, speaking your truth in a world posing for the picture. The second phase is can be harder. Embracing change, when you know what works for you already.

The Marketing Genius of Snoop Dogg: A Masterclass in Branding
Snoop Dogg's evolution from a rap icon to a global brand powerhouse is a testament to the power of strategic marketing. What impresses me most is the way he has seamlessly expanded his brand beyond music—into TV, lifestyle, culinary ventures, children’s shows and most recently, the Olympics!
Having been raised in the same area in South Central L.A. as Mr. Snoop, I am inspired by his achievements and his devotion to his family. 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Did you know Snoop shows up to his grandkid’s birthday parties in full costume (I.e. Dinosaur)? He does it so that for a few moments, he gets to escape his persona and be completely present. 🫶🏻
His ability to connect with diverse audiences while staying authentic to his roots is nothing short of genius. From mainstream commercials to unexpected partnerships, Snoop consistently demonstrates that brand alignment and authenticity are key to longevity.
The confluence of his music, personality, and business acumen showcases how a well-executed, multi-faceted brand strategy can not only create lasting relevance but also open up new revenue streams. For marketers, his journey is a case study in how to expand a personal brand without losing its core identity.
What are your thoughts on leveraging personal authenticity in marketing?

💪 Snoop Dogg's entrepreneurial journey is a masterclass in resilience, adaptability, and the power of reinvention. Coming from humble beginnings in a repressed area of Long Beach, CA, Snoop faced numerous obstacles that could have easily derailed his path.
❌ Like many founders, his story is one filled with mistakes, missteps, haters, and naysayers. Yet, Snoop’s rise to the top as “America’s Top Dogg” is a testament to the unyielding persistence, passion, and perseverance that every entrepreneur should aspire to.
📰 In a recent PEOPLE Magazine | PEOPLE.com article, Snoop's transformation from a rapper to a media mogul, philanthropist, and businessperson is laid out as an example of what it means to continuously evolve.
🎶 He ventured beyond music, embracing cannabis culture, media production, and even sports, all while staying true to his authentic self. Founders, particularly those in the early stages, can take a page from Snoop’s playbook. He didn’t let mistakes define him but instead learned from them, corrected his course, and pressed forward.
📈 Snoop Dogg's journey shows that no matter where you come from or how many doubters are in your ear, if you remain focused on your vision and keep pushing through the noise, success is attainable. His legacy is not just about music; it's about the relentless pursuit of growth and opportunity. Founders, especially those from underserved or underestimated backgrounds, can look to Snoop as proof that obstacles are part of the process—but they don’t define the outcome.

😊 Learning Lunch 😊 I would highly recommend reading The Industry Newsletter—it's US-focused but always useful. I’ve been following the Paramount takeover, particularly its potential impact on Channel 5 in the UK. Found the below particularly interesting:
Paramount Global’s Q3 earnings laid out continued operational challenges with big declines in theatrical and overall revenue:
- $1 M net income
Down ↓ 99.7% from $295 M ‘23
- $6.73 bn revenue
↓ 6%
📌 Just in case that didn’t catch your eye, the entire business made $1 M off of $6.73 bn revenue.
Paramount streaming was the sunny spot as their DTC division reported a profit:
$1.86 bn DTC revenue
↑ 10%
$1.34 bn Subscription revenue
↑ 7%
$49 M profit
Up from $238 M loss YoY
2nd consecutive profitable quarter
72 M subs
↑ 3.5M
Skydance acquired Paramount, and pending any regulatory approval, the deal will close next year. But first, the three CEOs running Paramount will rush to complete their previously announced plans to save $500 M/year, including a 2000-person layoff (15% US workforce) by EOY. To help with Paramount’s challenges, Skydance CEO David Ellison and financier RedBird Capital are committing $1.5 bn to help Paramount pay down its debt.
Will the tables turn for Paramount? I guess all we can do, is hold our breath.
