Everyone, meet Charlie! He sits at the heart of our news-gathering operation. See what a day in the life of an Assignment Editor is like.
Before the anchor, producer or reporter deal with breaking news, it’s often the assignment editor who first works on the story. Come see a day in the life of NBC4 Washington assignment manager Charlie Bragale and his assignment desk: https://lnkd.in/eAj8CcTe #nbcwashington #nbcuacademy #nbcuhereyoucan
When I worked as @PGFDPIO I could count on a call every day from Charlie seeking news and often being able to deliver a story that we did not plan on. That was on those days when “the bar is low today”. Good job Charlie!!
Pally! No one runs an assignment desk better.
I never forget during my interview Charlie gave me a call full energy… told me something like, at WRC even the president watches and one time a president called in. I was impressed 😅 A tremendous asset to the newsroom !
The Assignment Desk is truly the nerve center of a newsroom. Glad to see the job, and especially Charlie, recognized for their vital roles. Yay!
Charlie is the best in the business. Hands down. Loved working with him.
I started out as an Assignment Editor in this biz. It’s the most important yet most underappreciated position in the newsroom. Go Charlie and all the unsung heroes on the desk!
Always on top of things around the region. A pro!
The best in the business!
Bravo Charlie! You’ve been at it for while now!🙏🏽👍🏽
