Runway condition code is reported 2/3/2 . Is the condition code 2 always the most limiting for RTOW ❓🤔 The runway condition code (RCC) reported as 2/3/2 indicates different conditions across the runway, with 2 representing the most limiting or poorest condition. In the context of calculating the Runway Takeoff Weight (RTOW), the most limiting RCC is typically the lowest code among those reported (in this case, 2). This is because the lowest RCC value indicates the worst runway condition that will have the greatest impact on aircraft performance, particularly in terms of reduced braking efficiency and potential for hydroplaning or skidding. So, yes, the condition code 2 is the most limiting factor for RTOW in your example, as it represents the runway section with the poorest condition that the aircraft must be able to safely take off from.
