The favorite part of my role at QDS is speaking with clients and prospects. Learning about their strategies and their pain points. We have a passion for helping community banks and credit unions succeed in their mission! This week I spoke with several institutions trying to solve some key challenges in their branches. 1. Our branches are out dated and too large. 2. We need to optimize efficiencies in our branches. 3. There is less traffic in our branches. 4. We need to optimize the effectiveness of our interactions with our customers or members. 5. We need deeper and more meaningful relationships with our customers or members. 13 years and counting…🩵 Thank you LinkedIn for reminding me that i’m celebrating 13 years with RCBC. I must say, it’s fulfilling and challenging as well! Thank you to those who sent their congrats and wishes. I’m thinking it would be good to share some 13 practical life lessons (in no particular order) especially during the most critical and challenging times so here they are…🩵 1. Value of Simplicity - don’t complicate matters. Simplify life, focus on what truly matters. 2. Decisiveness - really quick, informed decisions are necessary especially during crisis. 3. Empathy and Compassion - understanding our team members’ unique challenges during tough times build trust and loyalty 4. Loyalty - one of the bank’s core values. This is not just about the length of service, it’s about being a good corporate citizen, one who speaks highly of the bank and takes pride of its achievements. We always celebrate our wins even the small ones! 5. Adaptability and Resilience are crucial - the workplace is always evolving; being flexible and resilient allow us to respond to changes and challenges effectively. 6. Collaboration - i personally witnessed and experienced this. Promoting collaboration in the workplace strengthens relationships and drives innovative solutions 7. Conflict Resolution is an Art- navigating conflicts in the workplace requires patience and diplomacy to maintain harmony. As the old saying goes, lahat ay nadadaan sa mapayapa at magandang usapan (just google translate for those who can’t understand Filipino) 8. Continuous Learning is Essential- you think you know everything after more than 35 years of experience? Think again! Upskill, re-skill, re-tool! Be humble and admit there are still a lot to learn especially from the young folks. 9. Feedback is a gift- providing constructive feedback helps our team members grow, while accepting feedback fosters personal development. 10. Learning from Failure - Viewing crises as opportunities for growth 11. Genuine concern and care for others - employees can see through you. You can’t fake it. They can feel if you’re truly sincere in hearing them out. 12. Vision in Adversity - maintaining a clear vision and purpose will inspire teams and keep the morale high even in challenging situations. 13.
