I'm beyond excited to share our Behavioral Threat Assessment panel submission for SXSWEDU. My mission is deeply rooted from the tragic events that occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary, in my hometown. The impact from that day has driven me to dedicate my expertise in preventing violence in schools. Through this work, I honor everyone affected by that horrific tragedy, striving to create safer environments for students and educators. Together, we build a network of vigilance and a collective effort to identify and address school safety issues and prevention. Panel Topic: The Pivotal Role of Community Engagement in School Safety School safety and violence prevention are critical issues that extend beyond the confines of the school environment. This panel aims to highlight the importance of community engagement in developing comprehensive strategies for threat assessment and violence prevention.
