Our team in EMEA welcomed Belit Onay, Mayor of Hanover, and Anja Ritschel, Head of Economic Affairs for the City of Hannover, to our Clarios EMEA Headquarters and the production site in Hanover. Dr. Barbora Kasanicka, VP Human Resources, and Dr Christian Rosenkranz, VP of Sustainability & Corporate Affairs EMEA, showed our training workshop and the production facilities for vehicle batteries to the visitors. In Hanover, we produce advanced low-voltage batteries essential for all vehicle types - from internal combustion engines to hybrids and electric vehicles. During the tour we focused on our strong vertical integration, including the pre-production of battery active materials, and how our lead-acid batteries are produced today. The very exciting research project - The Circular Car - is developing and yesterday project members visited Autocirc company Walters Bildelar for a workshop at site.   The project is funded by Vinnova via FFI and coordinated by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden. Autocirc participates in the project together with about 20 partners where the goal is to accelerate the transition to a car fleet adapted for circularity in 2045. #TheCircularCarResearchProject

We were proud to participate in this prestigious event and contribute to advancing Europe’s position as a global innovation leader in battery technologies. 🙏 Special thanks to Dr. Christoph Weber from ACC for moderating our session on Day 1, where we delved into the progress of four pivotal research projects: QUGAPP, DemoRec, QuaLiProm, and BatterieAttest. These initiatives are driving groundbreaking solutions for the future of battery cell production. 🔍 Highlighting BatterieAttest: Through our partnership with Fraunhofer IMTE and the Fraunhofer-Einrichtung Forschungsfertigung Batteriezelle FFB, VCbattery is developing the next generation of full-cell 3D scanners for prismatic and pouch cells.
