So sad that NC has fallen so far from leading on bicycle safety. With the state banning using any state funds for stand along bike/ped projects for the past decade we now have more than 15% of our road killings are people on bikes, wheelchairs, running, or walking. It is also so very sad that there are hundreds of thousands of missing sidewalk curb ramps and even more that are substandard in apparent violation of the civil rights of disabled people established in 1990's ADA federal law. #ADAFail

The video you selected is deceptive; it's from an event and does not reflect daily life. 50 years later and residents still do NOT have the infrastructure to meet the comfort and safety for the public who consider themselves as "Interested, but Concerned" to choose bike riding for their daily needs. Tell us what we need to do to move the State into the future that the public requested in 1974.
