As we celebrate diversity and inclusivity, it's time we took a closer look at the LGBTQIA+ community's place in today's labor market. According to the Williams Institute, the LGBTQIA+ community faces unique challenges in the workplace: - 50% have hidden their identity to avoid discrimination. - 24% have left a job due to treatment by the employer. Yet, their contributions are significant and undeniable. A diverse workforce drives innovation, productivity, and profitability. We can start by: 1. Enhancing workplace policies for inclusion and non-discrimination. 2. Fostering safe company cultures where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work. 3. Offering training programs to promote understanding and empathy amongst all employees. By doing so, we're not only supporting the LGBT+ community but also optimizing our workforce and driving our businesses forward. #LGBT #InclusiveWorkplace #Diversity #Equality #BreakingTheBias

We all have unconscious biases and diversity and inclusion training is a great way to raise awareness of biases in the workplace. Training will also enable your team to recognise and call out discriminatory behaviour, making the workplace a safer place for everyone. According to YouGov’s survey on inclusion, 49% of people think that their company offers inadequate diversity training, an important statistic for employers to be aware of, as the world evolves.
