Vesa Virtanen emphasized the importance of balancing warfare development with future readiness. NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) experts, led by Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Simon Asquith, presented a series of briefs on strategic planning, ongoing warfare development initiatives, and emerging security challenges. 🎯 “NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) has a vital role in leading the way and coordinating how the Alliance should transform to be prepared for the challenges of the future. It is important to balance the development to be ready both tomorrow and prepared for upcoming capability requirements. 🇹🇼👩🏫 Taiwan’s new defense minister has unveiled plans to create the country’s own Defense Innovation Unit to boost its asymmetrical warfare capabilities. Wellington Koo, who assumed office late last month, told reporters that the unit will facilitate better integration of research on the development of military and civilian defense technologies. 🇦🇹🖥️✨ Austria has signed a contract with Systematic to acquire the SitaWare Headquarters and SitaWare Frontline command-and-control software. These latest capabilities modernize the European country’s military for enhanced communication from headquarters to the frontline, in addition to increasing interoperability with NATO, which procured the same C2 software. “This contract demonstrates Austria’s commitment to enhancing its operational efficiency and interoperability.
