Growth in both business and family life can indeed make life better, enriching our experiences and contributing to our overall happiness and satisfaction. In business, growth can lead to new opportunities, increased financial stability, and the ability to make a positive impact on the community. In family life, growth strengthens bonds, fosters love and support, and builds a foundation for future generations.Balancing these two important aspects of life can be challenging, but it’s also incredibly rewarding.Remember, the journey of balancing business and family life is a marathon, not a sprint. It’s about making consistent, conscious choices that align with your values and long-term vision.

From the archives... This article (see link in comment) presupposes that the myth of homeschool under-socialization is valid. I do not believe it is. In many cases, the problem is not a lack of socialization, but an overabundance of opportunities to socialize, so that the parent must choose the best socializing options from the many that are available and avoiding the temptation of trying to get involved in “everything.” This generally leads parents to limit social activity participation so that educational activities of greater importance can be prioritized. Ideally, for the Christian homeschooler, social engagement is of greatest benefit when it is aligned with ministry outreach. #HomeEducation #homeschool #homeschooling #education #GetOutNow #PublicSchoolExit #ChristianEducation #EdcuationIsDiscipleship #ChristianHomeschoolRevolution

Today read, Social development as a framework continues to offer promise in addressing the challenges of our time. Social work and social development have a long history, and it is critical to understand how concepts, frameworks, approaches, and understandings have developed, adapted, and continue to evolve in order to address current and future realities. Will be grateful for mentioning any resources or books on community and social development. as starting point. #communitydevelopment #socialdevelopment

My morning read… Reciprocity Rings are structured discussions with each person presenting a specific request that is important to them. Maybe a job lead, maybe a career mentor, maybe a cheap car for a kid so they can get to work. The offers of help are fast and furious. The key to getting help is asking for help in a specific way. While we assume that givers will be more generous than matchers and takers, that is not completely true. When giving becomes public, takers get their “why” dealt with. They get to be seen as part of a valued and respected social norm. It improves their standing in the group. And as long as people get the help they need, maybe the “why” is just a means to the end.

Dear community fellows, In the realm of NGO work, we often encounter moments when seeking support from corporate entities or other stakeholders leads to unsolicited advice rather than the desired collaboration. Recently, we experienced such a scenario where instead of extending support, we were met with lectures on how we should operate, particularly in our approach to working with children. There's a prevalent misconception that instilling a bit of fear in children is necessary for their learning and development. Some have even gone to the extent of suggesting that maintaining a serious demeanor is key, as laughter and playfulness might hinder a child's ability to learn. (This was the statement - "बच्चे में थोड़ा डर होना भी जरूरी है, वरना ऐसे आप हसी मजाक में रहोगे तो बच्चा कुछ नहीं सीखेगा न ही आपको कुछ मानेगा.") In such instances, it's crucial to recognize the importance of alignment in partnerships. While seeking support is essential for the sustainability of our initiatives, it's equally vital to maintain autonomy and uphold the values and methodologies we believe in. It's okay to pause and say no when faced with suggestions that contradict our principles. Every approach we take is backed by careful consideration and is rooted in our mission to create positive impact. While external perspectives can offer valuable insights but staying true to our vision is paramount. So, to all my fellow NGO colleagues and changemakers, remember that it's okay to say no when things are misaligned. Trust in your expertise, embrace your unique approach, and know that everything unfolds for a reason. Let's continue striving for meaningful partnerships built on mutual respect, understanding, and alignment.
