Be Kind - Be Grateful Working our way to 100. Next 5 #74 – When you are the summer fair and you win a stuff animal playing games, look around and give to a child and ask them to name it for you and to keep good care of it for you. They will sleep well that night with their new friend. #73 – At your local community center or cork board at the grocery store, put up a message inviting people to give thanks to people that you know visit that location. Seeing your name unexpectedly on the board brings the biggest smile to their face. #72 – If you have old prescription glasses that you no longer use, consider giving them to Lions Club or another not-for-profit that will send them out to places where eyewear is hard to obtain and costly. #71 – There are migrate works that come to assist with agriculture farming and their only way to get around is typically a bike. Donate your old bike to these hard-working people that often do what we are not willing to do. #70 – With herb gardens at their peak, take extra herbs and make up little bundles to give to friends with a note attached to the mint saying, ‘you are worth a mint to me’. Leave on doorstep and keep them guessing on who this might have come from.

We understand animals are capable of experiencing positive emotions like joy and excitement. And we also know that they can feel fear, pain, and distress. Recognising animal sentience isn’t a purely theoretical or abstract concept. Suppose we accept that animals can feel pain and distress. In that case, we must take it as our responsibility to minimise experiences that harm animals like factory farming and the wildlife trade and entertainment industries. A small donation can do great wonders for animals. Thank you, to all who supported and donated to the doTERRA Healing Hands Giving Season initiative at the end of 2023 to help replant trees in Maui. 💛 We were so honored to be a part of the local initiative to plant native trees that were lost in the tragic fires last year. A primary focus for doTERRA is giving back to the earth that gives us so much. Through the generosity of donors and working with Kealakekua Mountain Reserve (KMR) and local residents, doTERRA Healing Hands donated $100,000 to replanting native trees on Maui following wildfires earlier in the year. These trees are essential to Maui’s ecosystem. This means the 10,000 trees, made possible through this donation, will be a key piece of the recovery efforts on the island. The reforestation efforts will start soon, allowing time for site preparation, seedling growth, and community readiness. Through this fundraiser and the support of local stakeholders, doTERRA Healing Hands and KMR are bringing green life back in the wake of the fires. This movement isn’t just about planting trees. It’s about cultivating hope, resilience, and a brighter future for Maui. 🌴 ☀️ Thank you for your kindness and generosity! We are so grateful we reached our $100,000 goal. 🎉

I love these designs and animations for RSPCA. A great example of how animation can be incorporated to enhance a brands visual identity. #AnimatedBranding #BrandIdentity #MotionDesign
The RSPCA is for every kind, and now it has a new purpose, identity and experience to match. For 200 years, the RSPCA and its supporters have changed animals’ lives and peoples’ attitudes. But today, the charity must rise to new challenges, such as intensive farming and the high cost of living. The RSPCA can’t solve these alone. It will take everyone, working for every animal. So, we put society back at the heart. By capturing the breadth of the RSPCA’s work - its people, branches, animals, and campaigns - we readied the charity to reach new audiences and inspire the next generation of support. #charity #animalcharity #rebrand #brandidentity

Over the past two weeks, Asheville has been flooded with love. From local, state, and federal agencies (yes, they are ALL here, but that’s a different post). Joe, Hank, Alice and I have been doing shifts at a grassroots collection and distribution site. The generosity is staggering. Thank you, thank you, thank you! But the needs are now evolving. Our site alone could no longer accept water, clothing, OTC meds, and much more. They have SO much. And that’s only one site. Other mountain areas (Boone, Marshall, Spruce Pine, and countless others) may need supplies, but Asheville now has what it needs to meet folks basic needs. However, restaurants can’t open bc there’s no water, and many want to pay their staff regardless. Farmers can’t sell to restaurants, so they’re donating their produce for distribution by food banks. And artists lost much — if not all — of their inventory in the flooding. - Consider donating to artists using the image below. - Support farmers here: https://lnkd.in/ewSNg39R - And if you have a truck of supplies, please direct it to a smaller town that doesn’t have as many resources as Asheville.
Local, independent businesses are the heart of the Asheville area—home to growers who are artists and artists whose work grows. Thought leaders and thought provokers, musicians and storytellers, entrepreneurs and educators, foodies and beer lovers, hippies, healers, adventurers, creators and innovators. We craft and brew and paint and carve, handcrafted by real hands. Now, those hands need a helping hand. And a hug. This weekend, Explore Asheville, in partnership with Asheville Downtown Association, Go Local Asheville, ArtsAVL, Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, ASHEVILLE INDEPENDENT RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION INC, WNC: MADE X MTNS, Mountain BizWorks, and JD Ellison and Company, launched the Love Asheville From Afar page. This page gathers shop links and direct donation platforms for Buncombe County businesses impacted by Hurricane Helene. Businesses located in or selling from Buncombe County can participate by completing this submission form: https://lnkd.in/gFFiH_V2 Your support can make a real difference—shop local or donate to help rebuild: https://lnkd.in/gA9Mmq39

We don’t think you have to choose between donating smart and donating with your heart. Many people want to help end factory farming. However, the organizations that do the most to prevent the suffering of farmed animals often lack visibility and don’t always provide the same ‘fuzzy feeling’ as donating to, for example, your local shelter. FarmKind bridges this gap. We collaborate with experts to identify the most effective charities combating factory farming’s impact on animals and the planet. FarmKind enables users to split their donations between these expert-recommended, highly effective charities and their personal favorite causes. We provide a bonus on both types of donations, allowing donors to do the most good to combat factory farming while supporting causes close to their hearts. Our approach is inspired by Giving Multiplier. The work of the founders, Prof. Joshua Greene and Dr. Lucius Caviola, is really exciting. It suggests that this approach could not only significantly increase donations to truly effective charities but also lead people to feel both smarter and more empathetic about their donations. Read more about their research here: Boosting the impact of charitable giving with donation bundling and micromatching: https://lnkd.in/eDhqb_sk

🔥Gail Fuller full 💙support, and to all farmers doing the job🔥 ❣ No agriculture => no food => no culture => no humanity ❣ 📣 Farmers are contributing to feed millions of people during their whole lifes ! 📣WHAT A DIVINE & INCREDIBLE GIFT THEY ARE OFFERING TO ALL OF US. LETS REMEMBER IT EVERY TIME WE TAKE A BIT OF (SANE) FOOD...📣 📣On the top of which: let's go meet them, talk to them, reward them, organise us around them and support them any way we can. 📣Let's stop handing over our responsibilities to politics: they just care about having submitted by force (&/or finance) workers-farmers that they can tax. (the King's syndrome). 💭 Let's ask ourselves a very unusual question ⚡ ➡ Why do we, Humans, live in communities❓ Because like many other creatures on our Earth, we all consciously or unconsciously know that one cannot do it all alone. Ask that same question in the city areas, most people would either not understand what you mean, or may also not relate to the actual concept of "Community", or would look at you as if you were a crazy "hippy"... An incredible sign that we lost the link to our soils, our growers, our lands, and to what actually makes us Humans..! Then the 1st-and-foremost-most-important-thing for our "Culture" to be is "agri- culture", no AI or any other superficial topic. Let's take our responsibilities. The response to my 2 previous posts about farmer suicide has been overwhelming! Thank you all for the support, shares and messages! There will be much more to come this summer about my journey from the depths of depression. I am also going to take the conversation in a few other directions and will be looking forward to the discussion that comes from each post. In case you aren't aware, I have been working to help farmers like me to heal. I get asked a lot, "how can I help support farmers?" Obviously, shopping with them is one way and I plan to highlight some of the farms we support starting later in this post and throughout the year. If you can't buy from them, making a donation is another way. Even $25 can help! If you can't help financially, how about donating labor? After that, get creative. Show up! Take a tour, attend a field day, write a letter to the editor or blog about what a wonderful farm it is. Share your skills with the farmer; maybe they need help with a website or something that you are good at. Most farmers struggle with isolation, so just getting to tell their story to someone, especially someone that believes they are making a difference, can really help. It is hard to put into words how important it is for them to feel validated for all the sacrifice they have made. I am get asked a lot by people looking for specific products so, as mentioned above, I am going to highlight here and in coming post, some of the farms that we support. Today's featured farm is #guardiangrains and farmHer DeAnna Lozensky. DeAnna sells heirloom flour and whole grain raised on their beautiful farm in North Dakota. They ship all over the country and even have an awesome Facebook page that allows you to follow along on their journey and even get new recipes! Check her out here. https://lnkd.in/gQVxkAaG #letsheal #community #supportfarmers #regenerativeagriculture #guardiangrains

🚨Please help if you have a Facebook account. Reporting is quick and easy. Comment below if you are unsure of how to do it & I will happily show you how! ♥️
***Assistance requested!*** It will take you 10 seconds. We need as many people as possible to report a fake Facebook page that has stolen our name. Our organization is marking 30 years of being a 501c3 non-profit serving animals in need. We have always had this name. This a phony "group" appears to be selling puppies. In addition to them putting our name on their page, they have their address listed as the same address as the Michigan Humane Society. Thank you so much. The offending page is located at: https://lnkd.in/geSUz-sX
