Today is an astronomical event you won't want to miss! Michigan will experience a total solar eclipse for the first time in 70 years since 1954. Here's what you need to know: Detroit Eclipse Schedule: Start of partial eclipse: 1:58 p.m. Maximum coverage (99%): 3:14 p.m. End of partial eclipse: 4:27 p.m. Even though most of Michigan isn't in the path of totality, we can still witness the moon passing in front of the sun with approved eclipse glasses or a safe viewer. If you're in Monroe County, the very southeast corner of the state, you might experience a slight dimming and a drop in temperature as the moon's shadow brushes over the sun. #SolarEclipse2024 #Astronomy #DetroitEclipse ☀ 🌑 https://shorturl.at/nAHJ8
