Meet Péter Dalos, an advisor at the Mobility Development Directorate of the Centre for Budapest Transport (BKK) and participant in the EIT Urban Mobility Emerging Leaders program. Péter has been instrumental in advancing Budapest’s mobility landscape, making it a sustainable model for other cities. Now focusing on shared mobility, road safety and active and micro-mobility programs, he continues to drive innovative solutions in urban transport. “Since 2014 a whole shared mobility market has evolved in Budapest, not only with public bike sharing but also e-scooter sharing, moped sharing and car sharing. We started to plant the seeds ten years ago with the first 76 stations of our public bike sharing and now we see that it’s flourishing," Peter said. Through the program, he seeks to enhance his leadership and communication skills, enabling him to further contribute to Budapest’s sustainable mobility initiatives. 🎉 Exciting News! 🎉 I am thrilled to announce that I have successfully completed my second semester of the International Master GLOCAL at Universitat de Barcelona! This semester has been an incredible learning journey. I delved into fascinating courses such as: Creative Cities: Intervention Models and Entrepreneurial Dynamics Family Business: Innovation and Globalization Companies in Emerging Sectors Port Cities in Historical Perspective Quantitative Analysis for International Business Managing Conflict in Negotiations Proud to share that I achieved a 9 (excellent) average! 📚✨ Beyond academics, I embraced a new culture, language and society by living in Barcelona for half a year. Moreover, I participated in Innovation Day at StartUB! Universitat de Barcelona, where my team and I tackled sustainability issues in public spaces and pitched our innovative App-based solution to a jury. The most inspiring course for me was Creative Cities by Professor Montserrat Pareja-Eastaway. I worked on a video-project with two colleagues Guanxiang W. and Xiaorong Li, comparing the strategies used by two Urban Marketplaces in Barcelona and Japan, considering the challenge of tackling over-tourism issues. On May 17th, the Politecnico di Torino hosted the #Unite!Widening workshop.
