Seeing the journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) highlight the role of #physicalactivity makes my heart go pitter patter! Why? Because movement is medicine and physical INACTIVITY is one of the leading contributors to poor physical and mental health across all diseases. Do you ever wonder about the difference between physical activity, exercise, and fitness? It's actually quite simple. Physical activity is any type of movement, while exercise is a planned, intentional form of movement. Fitness, on the other hand, is the outcome you want to achieve. All three play a role in your overall health and well-being. These articles emphasize the significance of any form of movement for individuals affected by cancer. It is important to remember that even a small amount of activity is better than none at all. Engaging in movements while sitting or lying down is more beneficial than remaining inactive.
