NECA is deeply concerned about proposals to reduce ring-fencing requirements for energy companies. NECA is advocating for the removal of loopholes in the requirement and greater transparency in reporting to give our ASP’s a fair go. The recent article, "Eddy has bought an EV, only now that there is a charger on his street" (Sydney Morning Herald, 25 June 2024), highlights the critical importance of maintaining and reviewing the ring-fencing guidance to ensure fair competition and consumer protection. NECA have advocated to Ministers State and Federal, in our continued efforts to maintain a fair and competitive electricity services market! #NECA #EnergyRegulation #FairCompetition #ConsumerProtection #Ringfencing #Electrical Contractors

Privatising Distribution Companies (DISCOs) is the way forward. The operational inefficiencies and power theft resulted in accumulative financial losses of PKR 500 billion in FY24 alone. DISCOs such as Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) and Quetta Electric Supply Company(QESCO) disclosed transmission and distribution (T&D) losses of 37.4% and 26.72% sequentially. On the other hand K-Electric, the only privatised DISCO has T&D losses of 15.27%.

Head of Strategic Partner Acquisition - Creating Important Partnerships to Accelerate Net Zero Outcomes & Decarbonisation in the Public & Private Sector
How to reduce electricty costs by up to 19% without changing supplier. Have you heard of Voltage Optimisation? UK electrical devices are designed to work on 220v. Most businesses are receiving supply of 240, 250, or even 260v. This means you are paying for supply that you are not using and worse still, the additional and unnecessary supply could be damaging and reducing the life of your equipment and devices. A voltage opimisation solution ensures that supply is a steady and consistent 220v which will save considerable direct and indirect costs. You don't even need to change suppliers. #expert #expertadvice #electric #electricitymarkets #save #reduce #costsaving #business #businessaccounting #sse #britishgas #edf #uwpartner

Here's a good example of saving a customer money by avoiding unnecessary costs incurred from Demand charges. The cost of a load management system is quickly paid off if you can save $600-$2000 per month for this particular site that has 200kW of EV chargers installed.
Dynamic Load Management (DLM) is often just considered a requirement to avoid overloading a circuit or grid connection. Not many people associate this with Maximum Demand charges which make up a big component of most Commercial and Industrial customers electricity bill. Below is an example of a load management system avoiding close to $600 in additional demand charges for that month by reducing the charger output. Most electricity networks consider the maximum demand as the highest 30 minute interval at any time during that month (or year in some cases) coneva GmbH
